Mikel Eguía Moreda

Co-founder & Managing Partner

Mr. Eguía co-founded Eguía in 2018, and currently serves as Managing Partner and Chief Investment Officer. Mr. Eguía’s expertise includes sourcing new investment opportunities, analyzing the opportunity’s risk-return profile, raising capital, and managing assets in our portfolio. Before forming Eguía, Mikel was President and CEO of RioBlanco, a Puerto Rico based investment manager.

Mr. Eguía began his finance career at the investment banking department of Sunrise Securities in New York, NY. Mikel graduated with a BS in Civil Engineering from The Polytechnic University of Puerto Rico and holds an NCEES Professional Engineering License, Series 7, 24, 63, 66, 79, as well as Puerto Rico’s Real Estate Brokerage License.

Margarita Eguía Moreda

Co-founder & Managing Partner

Mrs. Eguía co-founded Eguía and currently serves as Managing Partner and General Counsel. Margarita’s expertise includes legal advisory, deal execution, and administration of the Fund’s and its Portfolio. Prior to forming Eguía, Margarita was an Associate at Marichal, Hernández, Santiago & Juarbe where she counseled and assisted a wide variety of business, institutional and individual clients in areas such as Commercial and General Civil Practice, Federal and Local Litigation, Construction Law, Banking Law, Notary Law and Contracts. Also, she worked as an associate with Saldaña, Carvajal & Vélez-Rivé LLC, where she gained extensive experience in Insurance Law, Insurance Coverage claims, Personal Injury Litigation, Commercial and General Civil Practice, Federal and Local Litigation, as well as Corporate Law. Margarita began her law career in Ersnt & Young as a staff attorney specializing in Tax and Commercial Law. Mrs. Eguía graduated with a BA in Business Administration and Accounting from the University of Puerto Rico, and a JD from the University of Puerto Rico School of Law.
